Fine Arts
The fine arts program at MCS is a hallmark of our
excellence at MCS. Each year our music and speech directors, Mr. Templeton
and Mrs. Wack, seek to glorify the Lord by pulling out all the stops for vocal,
instrumental, and dramatic performances throughout the school year to create an
incredibly successful and promising fine arts program. Our Christmas and
Spring Concerts showcase the amazing abilities the Lord has granted our
students. Staff and students strive for an excellence worthy of our
glorious Savior.

Among the most-highly anticipated of all the major
fine arts events are the state and national level competitions. Most
students compete well at the state's Buckeye Christian School Association Fine
Arts Competition each year in March. Categories include speech, vocal and
instrumental music, art, academic and Bible quiz teams, spelling bee, and
academic testing. The first-place winners of this event qualify for the
American Association of Christian Schools national competition at Bob Jones
University in Greenville, SC.

"The fine arts program at MCS has
really
prepared me for so many
future situations and has helped make me a better person - better equipped for
the struggles and experiences that God has in store for me."
-Thomas, 1st place, 2008 AACS Male Vocal Solo
MCS also participates in local, state and national
essay and speech competitions sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In 2007-08, MCS students captured first and second places at local competitions
for both junior and senior high, and one student placed fifth in the state!
